About Whispering Willow We are veterinary professionals who specialize in assisting pet owners by providing humane euthanasia services in the comfort of their own home or special place. Compassion, love and care are our basic tenets and we know there is a great need for this in our community. Dr. Sharon McCutchen Devon's experience working in veterinary medicine as a customer liaison for 4 + years, and also working at a retirement home cultivated her deep love of animals and understanding of the end of life is what brought her to Whispering Willow. She came to really understand and honor the end of life process. Everyone and everything will come to an end. Even though the end is sad-it can be full of love, beauty and respect.

Saying goodbye to your beloved companion can be one of the hardest events in life. She feels humbled and honored to help families navigate these heartbreaking times. Grief does not follow a map, or a timeline, it is different for everyone. She wants to be there to help support in any way that is possible during such a difficult time.
Devon Customer Liaison Dr. Sharon McCutchen returned to Western Massachusettes 20 years ago to work as a relief veterinarian and then as a primary veterinarian at Greenfield Veterinary Clinic. She is currently a clinical veterinarian at the University of Massachusettes in Amherst. She attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine attaining her veterinary degree in 1998 with a focus in exotics.

Dr McCutchen has explored the bond between humans and their pets throughout her career. Acknowledging the bond and honoring this important connection all the way to the end of life has been a calling to her. Her goal is to make this experience as peaceful, comfortable and loving as it can be.
